2. Postal address
3. Date of birth

Who is collecting it?
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) is the Data Controller for the names of candidates which means they determine the purpose and means of processing the personal data. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Processor which means we are responsible for processing the information on behalf of the PHA.

How is it collected?
By tutors who administer the courses.

Why is it being collected?
The legal basis we rely on for processing your personal data is article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, meaning, you have given consent for the processing for a specific purpose.

How will it be used?
To produce certificates for candidates who pass examinations.

Who will it be shared with?
The information will be shared with CIEH. Any personal information provided by you will not be disclosed to any other third party, unless law or regulation compels such a disclosure.

How long will it be retained for?
All information will be retained as per the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.

How do I make a data protection complaint?
If you consider that your data protection rights have been infringed because of the way Council has handled your personal information (or the personal information of someone you are acting on behalf of), you can make a data protection complaint to the Council by:

Data Protection complaints will be handled in line with the reporting periods outlined in the Council’s Complaints Handling Procedure.
