Why is it being collected?
The lawful base we rely on for processing your personal data is article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, meaning the processing is necessary for the Council to comply with a legal obligation, Private Tenancies Order (NI) 2006.
How will it be used?
To provide inspection and regulation of dwellings in the private rented sector.
Who will it be shared with?
Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Department for Communities Rent Office
How long will it be retained for?
Indefinitely
How do I make a data protection complaint?
If you consider that your data protection rights have been infringed because of the way Council has handled your personal information (or the personal information of someone you are acting on behalf of), you can make a data protection complaint to the Council by:

Data Protection complaints will be handled in line with the reporting periods outlined in the Council’s Complaints Handling Procedure.
