Who is collecting it?
The Drinking Water Inspectorate is the Data Controller which means it determines the purpose and means of processing the personal data. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Processor which means we are responsible for processing the information on behalf of the DWI.

Why is it being collected?
The lawful base we reply on for processing your personal data is article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR, processing is necessary to assist the Drinking Water Inspectorate in regulation of private water supplies carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

How will it be used?
To contact individuals whilst ensuring private water supplies comply with drinking water standards.

Who will it be shared with?
DWI and the Public Health Agency

How long will it be retained for?
As per the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule

How do I make a data protection complaint?
If you consider that your data protection rights have been infringed because of the way Council has handled your personal information (or the personal information of someone you are acting on behalf of), you can make a data protection complaint to the Council by:

Data Protection complaints will be handled in line with the reporting periods outlined in the Council’s Complaints Handling Procedure.
