The Building Control Department of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has a responsibility under the Public Health Acts Amendment Act 1907 to ensure that any building fronting, adjoining or abutting on any street or public footpath is not dangerous to the persons lawfully using the street or footpath.
If, after inspection by a Building Control Surveyor, a building is deemed to be dangerous the Council will serve notice on the owner requiring them within a period specified in the notice, to make safe the property so as to prevent any danger there from.
Reports of buildings considered dangerous to the public should be made to The Building Control Department, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
