The proposed works will include paving, kerbing, resurfacing, road realignment, drainage, signage, planting/landscape design, street furniture, lighting (including festive lighting), pedestrian crossing points, entrance/gateway feature, provision of footway edge vehicle containment system and new pedestrian parapet railings to the bridge. This project is subject to funding.

The following streets will be included in the public realm works;

  • Market Street
  • Campsie Road
  • Campsie Drive
  • Campsie Avenue

The proposed project extent is shown in the location plan.

The key aim of the Campsie Environmental Improvement Scheme is to improve the quality and safety of the streetscape by:

  • Providing a safe and attractive place for people to live in, visit and work;
  • Using appropriate materials, taking cognisance of the previously completed Public Realm scheme in Omagh town.
  • Promoting pedestrian movement and enhancing linkages;
