Inter Church Walk

Over 50 people took part in the inter-church walk which took place on 19 September.Organised by Omagh Churches’ Forum, in conjunction with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the walk began at Trinity Presbyterian Church, James Street, Omagh. It  then proceeded to St Columba’s Church of Ireland, onwards to Sacred Heart Church and finished at Omagh Methodist Church  followed by light refreshments in Omagh Methodist Church Hall.  A short act of worship took place in each of the four host churches. People from all walks of life were invited to join the ecumenical journey. Participants found the evening to be very uplifting and informative and a wonderful way to learn about each others faiths in  an mutual respect.

Omagh Churches’ Forum exists to promote better inter-church relations and to help the various churches in our community to meet and discuss issues of mutual interest and benefit, both spiritual and practical.
