Safeguarding
It is unacceptable for a child, or adult at risk of harm, to experience abuse and/or harm of any kind. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council recognises its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all individuals by making a commitment to protect them as far as is reasonably practicable.
In October 2015, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council adopted its new Child Safeguarding Policy and Child Safeguarding Code of Practice.
This was followed in January 2016 by the adoption of the Adult Safeguarding Policy and Code of Practice by the Council.

Within each Code of Practice there is specific guidance for Members of the Public, Council Staff and Contractors. As part of this guidance, there have been information leaflets developed for each grouping. These can be downloaded below:
