Community representatives from across the Fermanagh and Omagh District during a learning visit to Carrickmacross Tidy Towns as part of the PEACEPLUS Environment for All Programme. Participants gained an insight into the group's award-winning approach to environmental improvement, biodiversity enhancement and community-led regeneration. Widely regarded as one of Ireland's most successful Tidy Towns groups, Carrickmacross has achieved Gold Medal status on numerous occasions in the national SuperValu TidyTowns competition and has also been recognised through the Town Centre First Awards.

The site at Derrygonnelly Community Centre, which will be transformed into a new play park through the PEACEPLUS Outdoor Recreational Capital Programme. Supported by PEACEPLUS funding and match-funding from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the development will create a welcoming and inclusive space for play, recreation and community engagement.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is proud to announce that it has secured €5,671,195 to implement a PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan aimed at promoting positive relations between people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
