Fermanagh and Omagh Labour Market Partnership (F&O LMP) focuses on improving employability outcomes and labour market conditions locally by working with partners from across the public, private and community/voluntary sectors.

The F&O LMP collectively developed an Action Plan for 2022/23 which includes a variety of initiatives tailored to address the following three key themes within the Fermanagh and Omagh area:

  • Reducing unemployment
  • Improving skilled labour supply
  • Tackling economic inactivity.

Labour Market Partnerships have been established across all 11 Councils and are an integral element of Employability NI, an initiative led by the Department for Communities to design, procure and implement a fresh suite of employability initiatives to support people into meaningful employment.

Sectoral Employability Academies

Fermanagh and Omagh Labour Market Partnership are delivering a range of fully funded short-training academies.

Academies will include:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering (including a qualification in welding)
  • Basic Food Processing
  • Tourism and Hospitality
  • Digital Skills
  • Registered Childminder training.
