Go Succeed: The Ultimate Pitch returns for its third year
The search for Northern Ireland’s next business giant in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area is on as Go Succeed: The Ultimate Pitch returns for its third year running.
The pitching competition gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for up to £6,000 in investment for their business idea.
Launched by Go Succeed, Northern Ireland’s government-backed business support service, the competition is open to pre-trading and newly established businesses that have been operating for less than two years, across all sectors.
The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area heat will take place 23 October with hopefuls presenting their business idea in front of a panel of judges from across the local business and civic community.
The final will take place in November, returning to the literary home of one of Ireland’s most celebrated storytellers, Seamus Heaney. Coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship Week, the event will see the 11 local heat winners deliver their final pitches to a panel of expert judges.

Mid South West - Driving Net Zero
Along with the other Councils representing the Mid South West, we are delighted to announce the launch of the new ‘Driving Net Zero Transformation’ Programme in partnership with Carbonfit, a team of sustainability experts who have created a carbon intelligence platform, to Simplify Carbon Reporting & Reduction.
The programme has been funded through Innovate UK’s ‘Fast Followers’ programme and aims to assist local businesses in their transition towards achieving net-zero emissions. The MSW region is one of 21 Local Authority areas from across the UK to receive a share of £6m funding to support progress towards Net Zero.

Business Clinics
In partnership with Invest NI, InterTradeIreland and South West College, we host a series of business advice clinics. There is currently none scheduled
The Business Advice Clinics will showcase support offerings available for your business, providing attendees with access to valuable resources and support, for example:
- Guidance on how to create a business plan
- Support to help your business grow
- Assistance in the identification of new markets outside Northern Ireland
- Information on how to secure training via your local college and other specialist supports including accreditation for green skills education and training
- Advice in relation to cross border trade and investment opportunities
