Who is collecting it?
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Controller which means that we determine how the information is collected, used, protected and shared where appropriate
How is it collected?
The information was collected during previous public consultations when those participating were given the option of registering to receive community planning updates. This was through a comments slip or an online request.
Why is it being collected?
Community Planning has a requirement to ensure ongoing community participation and engagement as it develops plans and actions. This is one method of engaging with local people and communities as well as ensuring that we take their views into account.
How will it be used?
Your opinions are important to the Community Planning partners and we value all input into our consultation processes. When you give us any feedback on consultations, your response will be reflected in the consultation report. If you are responding on your own behalf, your personal details will not be included. If you are responding on behalf of an organisation, that organisation will be named.
Who will it be shared with?
Any personal information provided by you will not be disclosed to any other third party, unless law or regulation compels such a disclosure.
How long will it be retained for?
The Community Planning Database (Consultees) will be retained until it is superseded (as per the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule).
How do I make a data protection complaint?
If you consider that your data protection rights have been infringed because of the way Council has handled your personal information (or the personal information of someone you are acting on behalf of), you can make a data protection complaint to the Council by:
emailing DPO@fermanaghomagh.com, or filling in the complaint form, or completing the online form
Data Protection complaints will be handled in line with the reporting periods outlined in the Council’s Complaints Handling Procedure.
