Strule Arts Centre Presents Debut Solo Photography Exhibition “My Happy Places”
10th January 2025

Strule Arts Centre, Omagh is hosting the debut solo photography exhibition “My Happy Places” by Drumquin-based photographer Cara Coll. Opening on Thursday, 9 January, the exhibition features a captivating collection of seasonal landscapes that celebrate the beauty of nature.
The collection offers a unique perspective on nature, capturing fleeting moments such as a bee in flight, a delicate cobweb, or a stunning Donegal landscape. The photographs tell stories, evoke emotions, and inspire viewers to reflect on the beauty and connections in their surroundings. The images transcend language and age, making them accessible and meaningful to all.
Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry, applauded Cara, stating:
“These images showcase your excellent talents as a photographer – to take the perfect image just at the right time, the attention to detail to capture the moment and to create the artistic concept by having all of the elements working together in the photo is truly admirable.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to promoting the arts and supporting local artists so I am delighted that you have the opportunity to exhibit your beautiful photos here in Strule Arts Centre for our residents and visitors to view and enjoy.
I would like to commend you on your first solo exhibition and I would encourage you all to tell others to come and view the exhibition while it is on display here until Saturday 25 January 2025.”
The exhibition runs from Friday, 10 January, to Saturday, 25 January 2025, and is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. For more information on the exhibition or other events at Strule Arts Centre, visit www.struleartscentre.co.uk, call 028 8224 7831, or email strulearts@fermanaghomagh.com.
