Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has commenced works at the play parks in Kilmacormick and Lisgoole Park, Enniskillen.

The works are part of the Council’s ten-year Play Park Strategy, now ready to commence the fourth year of delivery, which aims to guide play park provision throughout the District.

The works include the upgrade of existing equipment and the provision of new equipment to provide inclusive play facilities in both play parks.

The provision and enhancement of play facilities demonstrates the Council’s commitment to ensuring that our children and young people have the best possible start in life and the opportunity to enjoy good heath, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Speaking about the works, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am delighted that works have commenced at the play parks in Kilmacormick and Lisgoole in Enniskillen.

The improvement works will enhance the existing play parks for the benefit of residents.

The continuing roll out of the Council’s Play Park Strategy is welcome and will help to encourage our young people to get outdoors and be active.”

The Council’s Play Park Team will keep residents up to date in relation to the progress of the works.  There will be some disruption to play park provision during completion of the works and we thank residents for their patience.
