What information is being collected about you?

Video footage of traffic flows and vehicle movements. In some circumstances, vehicle registration numbers or images of individuals may be captured incidentally before anonymisation takes place.

Who is collecting it?

An external traffic, transport and mobility data providers will collect and process the survey data on behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.

How is it collected?

Data is collected using temporary traffic survey equipment, including video cameras and automated traffic counting technology installed at survey locations. Video footage is processed using automated technology that anonymises identifying features before analysis takes place.

Why is it being collected?

The data is being collected to inform the development and assessment of a Preferred Route for the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway (SLNCR) Greenway Project.

How will it be used?

The data will be analysed to understand traffic patterns and transport movements and to support the planning, design and assessment of the proposed Greenway.

Who will it be shared with?

The data may be shared with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, project consultants and statutory bodies where required by law. Anonymised survey results may also be included in project reports and assessments.

How long will it be retained for?

Identifiable footage, where captured, will be retained for a maximum of 8 weeks before deletion. Anonymised traffic data will be retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes of the project and in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements.
