Pool Opening Hours & Session Times

Monday – Thursday 7am – 9.40pm (final entry @ 9pm)

Friday 7am – 9.10pm (final entry @ 8.30pm)

Saturday 9am – 4.40pm (final entry @ 4pm)

Sunday 10am – 3.40pm (final entry @ 3pm)

Bank Holidays and Public Holidays – CLOSED

Customers are advised that we have an Autumn Swimming Lesson Programme running every day including evenings and weekends as well as local club bookings and Aqua Fit classes. During these classes and bookings, some of our pool space may be unavailable. Please see copy of our Autumn Splash Programme below.

All swimming sessions last for a duration of 50 minutes with the exception of the final swim session which is 40 minutes.

Health Suite Opening Hours

The Health Suite consists of a Jacuzzi, a Sauna and a Steam Room. There is no need to pre-book for access to the facility but please note the opening times below.

Bank Holidays and Public Holidays – CLOSED

*The Jacuzzi is closed for routine cleaning and maintenance every Wednesday morning until approx. 12pm. The Sauna and Steam Room remain open as normal. 

While there are no set session times for use of the Health Suite, customers are advised to spend no more than 15 minutes in any individual area of the Health Suite.

Admittance Policy

There is no requirement to pre-book for the swimming pool. Normal admission policy applies for pool numbers and adult/child ratios will apply. Omagh Leisure Complex retain the right to refuse entry should the following policy not be met.

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times whilst in the facility.
  • A child under the age of 8 years must be directly supervised in the swimming pool by his/her parent or responsible person (aged over 16 years).
  • No more than two children aged 4 to 7 may be supervised by one parent or responsible person (aged 16 or over).
  • Children under 4 must be supervised by a parent or responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a one to one basis.
  • Please note that children aged under 8 are not permitted in the 25 metre pool which has a 2 metre depth, without direct supervision of a parent or responsible person (aged 16 or over).
  • Omagh Leisure Complex operates a NO SMOKING policy. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Swimming Hall or other buildings on site.
  • Children aged 15 or under are not permitted entry to Health Suite.
  • Please alert the attendant of any medical conditions you (or those under your supervision) may have which may affect bathing safety.
  • Lifeguard instructions must be obeyed at all times. Persons not adhering to lifeguard instructions may be asked to vacate the pool and in exceptional circumstances, the premises.
  • No running on Pool Deck.
  • No glass containers are allowed in the Pool or on the Deck.
  • Recording devices (including all types of electronic devices) may only be used in the facility with the permission of the Operations Manager. Recording devices (including all types of electronic devices) are not permitted in the changing rooms, pool areas or viewing gallery. A photography policy is available by request at reception.
  • Private swimming lessons by members of the public are strictly prohibited.

Pool Closures

Due to club bookings, swimming lessons and events, it may be necessary for us to close our pools fully to ensure the maximum safe bather load is not over capacity.
Where there is a full pool closure, customers will be permitted access up to 50 minutes prior to the closure time. Access after this time will not be granted until the pool reopens.
E.g. Main Pool CLOSED at 6pm – customers will be permitted to check in up until 5.10pm after which only those using the Learner Pool and Baby Splash Pool will be granted access.

Please note the following times when our Main Pool is fully closed to public swimmers:
Mondays: 8 – 9pm (Omagh Tri Club)
Tuesdays: 6 – 8pm (Strule Dolphins)
Thursdays: 6 – 7pm (Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club)
Fridays: 7am – 8am (Strule Dolphins)

Please note the following times when our Learner Pool is fully closed to public swimmers:
Mondays: 2 – 3.10pm (Toddler Swimming Lessons)
Tuesdays: 12.30 – 1pm & 1.30 – 2pm (Baby Swimming Lessons)
Thursdays: 6.20 – 6.50pm (Toddler Swimming Lessons)
Saturdays: 9.15am – 11:05am (Baby & Toddler Swimming Lessons)

Staff Training

Essential staff training is held on the second Wednesday of each month.
September – 11th
October – 9th
November – 13th
December – 11th

To facilitate this training, the full pool hall is closed from 2pm until 3.30pm. Last admission for swimming will be at 1.10pm until the pools reopen at 3.30pm.

The Health Suite (Sauna, Steam & Jacuzzi) remains open as normal during this time.

Regular staff training ensures that we can continue to deliver a high quality service to ensure your safety and enjoyment and we thank you for your continued support.

 

Events

We are pleased to be able to facilitate major swimming events including international galas here at Omagh Leisure Complex.

During major swimming events we often need to close the full pool hall to accommodate the booking however advance notice will be advertised of any events scheduled. Customers will be informed by the Swim Team if events will have any impact to our Learn to Swim Programme.
