Centenarian Project

As part of Fermanagh Omagh District Council’s plans to mark the centenary of the establishment of Northern Ireland (1921), following the passing of the Government of Ireland Act (December 1920), the Council sought assistance from centenarians or those who reached the age of 100 or over in 2021 and who lived or were born in the district, to take part in a shared reminiscence project.

The project aims to provide a lasting legacy of stories woven into a final project to mark the centenary of the founding of Northern Ireland.  The Centenarian project focuses on aspects of life in Fermanagh and Omagh over the last 100 years.
