Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is commencing works to upgrade Castle Park Play Park, Lisnaskea during the week commencing 31 July 2023, as part of the Council’s ongoing delivery of its ambitious Play Park Strategy 2021-2030.

The upgrade works will include installation of new and inclusive swings, roundabouts and trampolines, age-appropriate climbing structures, a playhouse and activity stations and a zip line, as well as much needed benches to catch your breath after all that activity!

Speaking about the improvement works, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am delighted that works are commencing to enhance the play park adjacent to the Castle Park Centre in Lisnaskea.

The additional equipment will offer more play opportunities for everyone which is important as we continue to promote more inclusive play.  The provision of play facilities is also important to help to encourage our children and young people to get outdoors and be active, leading to improved physical and mental health and wellbeing.”

The works are likely to take 10-12 weeks (weather dependent) and the Council would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during that time.  Alternative facilities are available at the recently upgraded play park in Maguiresbridge.
