Who is collecting it?

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Controller which means that we determine how the information is collected, used, protected and shared, where appropriate. The information is being collected by the relevant section and passed to the Funding and Investment section.

How is it collected?

Organisations contact the Council to seek support for projects.

Why is it being collected?

To allow us to correspond with you about your project and to process subsequent claim(s). The legal basis we rely on for processing your personal data is article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, which is that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps at your request, before entering a contract.

How will it be used?

The information will only be used for corresponding with you about your project and to process subsequent claims, if applicable.

Who will it be shared with?

The information will be shared with the Finance department (for the purposes of making a payment only) and, where applicable, with the external funding body such as the Department for Communities, The Executive Office or the Arts Council for Northern Ireland, if they request it.
Any personal information provided by you will not be disclosed to any other third party, unless law or regulation compels such a disclosure.

How long will it be retained for?

The information will be retained by the Grants and Investment Unit for a period of 7 years in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.

How do I make a data protection complaint?
If you consider that your data protection rights have been infringed because of the way Council has handled your personal information (or the personal information of someone you are acting on behalf of), you can make a data protection complaint to the Council by:

Data Protection complaints will be handled in line with the reporting periods outlined in the Council’s Complaints Handling Procedure.
