Key Statistics and Data

Introduction

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to being an evidence led organisation. This means that the Council seeks to take into account the best available evidence into decision making.

This evidence takes many forms, such as statistics, data, literature, good practice and consultation. The Council has found value in this approach since its inception.

Two of the first projects undertaken by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council upon its establishment in 2015 was the development of an evidence baseline, comprising a quantitative profile of data relating to the social-economic and environmental pillars and a separate Strategy and Policy review, to ensure the Council had a full baseline of the strategy and policy framework in which it would be operating. A lot of further work has been undertaken since then.

This webpage promotes the evidence led approach taken by the Council, and seeks to share the data and learning, ensuring that the key statistics and data are accessible.
