Are you registered to do business with the Council?

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council procures a varied range of supplies, services and works to efficiently meet the needs of the Council area. The Council ensures that the procurement process is clear, open, fair and transparent, that there is consistency in approach and that overall value for money is achieved while including economic, environmental and social value within the procurement process. The Council aims to maximise wellbeing, social cohesion, inclusion equal opportunities and sustainability within the district through its procurement process. There is also a focus on continuous improvement in terms of quality, effectiveness and efficiency.

The Council has a Procurement Policy which is available on the Policies and Procedures section of our website:

To ensure value for money is achieved, procurement is carried out in a competitive manner by either a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Tender, depending on the level of expenditure, in line with the Council’s procurement limits.

Where expenditure is estimated to exceed £30,000, the Council will seek Tenders. These are publicly advertised – instructions on how to access tender documents can be found by clicking on the tender opportunities listed on the following web page:

For expenditure which is estimated to cost below £30,000, the Council will seek Quotations from a number of suppliers in line with the policy.
