Fermanagh and Omagh District Council aims to support achievement of the Vision set out in the Visitor Experience Development Plan (VEDP), that “Fermanagh and Omagh will be globally recognised as an exemplar regenerative tourism destination; a place where visitors become temporary locals, immersed in our rich natural and cultural heritage, and where local people, communities and businesses are supported through inclusive growth and collaboration”.
The Council’s tourism marketing team aims to showcase the region as an authentic and regenerative tourism destination offering unique experiences by undertaking a range of marketing communication activities, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders, and supporting the industry to inspire and attract domestic and international visitors.

Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands regional brand to be extended to County Fermanagh
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald announced a new licensing agreement which will see the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands brand used in County Fermanagh for the first time. The brand, developed by Fáilte Ireland, promotes Ireland’s central heartlands, focussing on its natural assets and waterways, across the island and internationally. The licensing agreement between Tourism NI and Fáilte Ireland will enable eligible tourism businesses in County Fermanagh to use the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands brand and be featured in Tourism NI marketing campaigns.
The licensing agreement has been put in place to build on the strong cross-border collaboration which already exists between tourism businesses and public bodies in County Fermanagh and their Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands counterparts.
In order to use the IHH branding toolkit all requests from County Fermanagh businesses must be made through Tourism Northern Ireland. A link to further information and applying is below:
