Off Street Car Parking

From 03 April 2024, there will be some changes to car parking enforcement.  The Parking Attendants will now be wearing blue coats in the Council owned car parks.  The Cashless Parking system will change to RingGo (see below for more information) and there will be a small text change to the Fixed Penalty Notice.

Visit the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information on the Off Street Car Parking changes.

Cashless parking

Since 13 January 2020, cashless parking has been provided by Just Park.  However, from 03 April 2024, cashless parking will be provided by RingGo in the 13 Pay & Display Off Street Car Parks, owned and operated by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, (FODC).

Cashless parking, using the RingGo parking app, provides an alternative way of paying for your parking which is:

  • An easy method of payment with no requirement for coins or to display a P&D ticket
  • Convenient as you do not need to locate a payment machine and you can pay from the comfort of your car
  • Hygenic as it eliminates the need to touch the P&D machine
  • Stress free as the time is open ended – start when you park and stop when you leave

You will need to register your vehicle and method of payment details with, or download their app from the App Store or Google Play.  Once registered, you can pay for and manage your parking using your mobile phone, mobile app or online.

RingGo provide an optional text SMS alert service at a cost of 15p per message.  If you do not wish to avail of this service, you need to disable the option in your Account on the App.

Information on how the service operates is provided on the pay and display machines at each location.

Paying for cashless parking if you don’t have a smartphone

If you’re not a smartphone user, you can still use RingGo to pay for your parking in Fermanagh and Omagh. You can Register for RingGo online or by phone by calling 028 9575 7988. Lines are open 24 hours a day.

When you register you’ll be asked for:

  • your vehicle registration number, make and colour
  • your payment card details
  • your address

Once registered, you can pay for parking using your phone.

It’s important to note that:

  • if you don’t stop your parking session, charges will apply up to the maximum parking period (see local signs for information)
  • traffic attendants can check if you have a valid parking session
  • a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice) may be issued for failure to obey parking restrictions
  • the Council is unable to process parking ticket (PCN) appeals. If you wish to appeal a parking ticket (PCN), contact the Northern Ireland Consortium via the PCN Challenge Portal, by email at or telephone on 0333 006 8351.
