Motion: Invest NI

That this council welcomes the ongoing engagement with Invest NI; notes with concern the recent resignation from the Invest NI Board due to concerns regarding regional imbalance; further notes that Regional Balance shouldn’t be tailored for any particular region and that every region in Northern Ireland should be on a level playing field; recognises that this is an opportune moment for South West to
have a dedicated voice on the Invest NI Board; calls on the Minister of the Economy to put greater emphasis on regional representation on the Board of Invest NI based on industry merit.
