Teddy Bears Picnic 2026

Pack up your picnic and blankets, gather your family and friends, and don’t forget your favourite teddy bear!

The much-loved Teddy Bears’ Picnic returns to Grange Park, Omagh on Saturday 25 July 2026 from 1.00pm to 4.00pm, promising an afternoon packed with free entertainment, music, creativity and family fun.

Hosted by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and supported by Arbour, Radius and Alpha Housing Associations through the Housing for All Shared Housing Programme, this popular summer event celebrates Omagh’s connection to internationally renowned lyricist Jimmy Kennedy, who penned the beloved children’s classic The Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

Families can enjoy a lively programme of entertainment throughout the afternoon, including performances from St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band and a fun-filled singalong with Tom Sweeney’s “Tots and Teddy” show. With music, laughter and plenty of opportunities to join in, there is something to delight visitors of all ages.

The park will be buzzing with activities from 1pm to 4pm. Children can get involved in a range of sports and family games, enjoy storytelling sessions with Libraries NI, explore arts, crafts and sensory activities, and take part in fun, educational experiences hosted by the Council’s Climate Team, including nature-inspired creative workshops. Visitors can also look forward to face painting, hula hoop fun, bubbles, summer-themed characters and lots more surprises throughout the day.

Alongside the entertainment, families will have the opportunity to meet a range of community organisations and support services, including Arbour, Radius and Alpha Housing Associations, Western Trust Fostering Services and other local partners who will be on hand with information and activities.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is a free, inclusive event with accessible facilities, blue badge parking and accessible toilets available on site, ensuring everyone can join in the celebration. Set within the beautiful surroundings of Grange Park, it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy quality family time, create lasting memories and celebrate one of Omagh’s most cherished summer traditions.
