Charlie’s Bar in Enniskillen is set to host its annual Summerfest celebration on Sunday, August 30, promising a full day of free entertainment for all ages in the heart of the town.
Running from 1pm through to 1am, the popular Bank Holiday weekend event will feature a packed programme of live music, dance and family-friendly activities, as the venue gives back to the local community for its continued support.
Festivities will begin with a performance from Paddy Treacy, followed by street jiving and line dancing from 1pm to 3pm, led by Tina McGurren of Modern Country Moves.
Throughout the day, a range of local talent will take to two stages. The alleyway stage will host Effie Neill and Barry Doyle, Gavin Gribben and Band, and The Porter Belly’s, while the Upstairs Lounge will feature sets from Music by Tully, Matthew Crampsey and Dara Murray.
From 3pm, the Upstairs Lounge will also be the setting for an open traditional Irish music session, delivered in partnership with Fermanagh Comhaltas. Musicians and singers of all ages and abilities are invited to attend and take part.
In addition to the musical line-up, the event will include performances from the Áine McGirr School of Irish Dancing, face painting for children, and food available from Tully Mill BBQ. The popular Hidden Naggin Pub is also set to return.
