Brassfest at the Buttermarket

First held in 2025, Brassfest is a free brass band music festival hosted by FTBBSS.com at the Buttermarket in Enniskillen. Following the success of its inaugural year, the festival returns in 2026 with an expanded and exciting programme.

This year’s event will feature 17 brass bands, each performing their concert programmes on stage throughout the day between 10am and 6pm, offering a vibrant and engaging musical experience for all attendees.

Participating bands represent a strong mix of local talent and ensembles travelling from across Ireland, creating a diverse and dynamic atmosphere. Friendly competition adds to the day, with bands performing for prizes and seeking to impress the judging panel.

Each band will typically include 25–30 members, accompanied by supporters who will stay in local accommodation, enjoy Enniskillen’s dining options, and explore activities around the town. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the independent shops and cafés within the Buttermarket, making the event a celebration of both music and community.

Brassfest 2026 will once again be staged in the picturesque grounds of the Buttermarket, providing free musical entertainment in a lively and welcoming setting. Guests can enjoy a coffee or a treat while experiencing the local businesses that contribute to Enniskillen’s character.

The festival will conclude with a social evening in Charlie’s Bar, where results will be announced.

The brand new National Youth Brass Band of Northern Ireland will close the festival.
