Following a disastrous performance by an amateur actor, a jaded festival adjudicator takes the stage to publicly review and score the act. Late Entry is a short, satirical one act comedy play written by David Tristram that pokes fun at the eccentric world of amateur drama festivals. What follows quickly spirals into a chaotic battle of egos that hilariously lampoons theatrical vanity and pretension. Ultimately, a series of clever comedic twists unravel, turning the standard feedback session completely on its head.

SONG FOR AOIFE by Seamus Steele

Two men with “Troubles” – related pasts and from opposite sides of the political divide, meet in the garden area of a children’s hospice, while visiting their sick children. Their animosity towards each other is clear. However over the period of a fortnight, as the children’s conditions deteriorate, the men start to form some form of accommodation, if not friendship.

This understanding is accentuated by their attempts to help a young African nurse, whose family has been burned out of their home during racist rioting in the city. The play deals with legacy of our “Troubles” and racism, two issues, current and probably unresolved for many years.

The drama does contain adult content.
