Grant Aid & Bursary Funding – 2026/27

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council provides funding to voluntary clubs, societies, community groups, social enterprises and sporting organisations for grant aid.  Bursaries are also available to individuals in the area of Culture and Sport.  Applicants must be based within the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.

Applications for the following funding streams opened on Wednesday, 7 January 2026,

the Closing Date has been extended to Wednesday, 18 February 2026 at 5.00pm

  • Irish Language (Academic)
  • Irish Language (Gaeltacht), Minors, Adult, Family

 Projects/Activities/Events must take place during the 2026/2027 financial year.

Funding Advice Fair & Grant Aid Application Clinics – January 2026

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will host a Funding Advice Fair on Monday 19 January 2026, in the The Bawnacre, Irvinestown, from 4.00pm – 7.00pm

The Funding Advice Fair will bring together a wide range of local, regional and national funders in one place.

This event is designed to support community and voluntary groups, clubs, and organisations to:

  • Explore current and upcoming funding opportunities
  • Speak directly with funders and support organisations
  • Get general advice on developing funding ideas and projects

Grant Aid Application Clinics – January 2026

In addition to the Funding Advice Fair, the Council will deliver a series of Grant Aid Application Clinics across all seven DEAs.

These clinics provide targeted, one-to-one support for groups who are applying to the Council’s current Grant Aid & Bursary Funding Programme 2026/27, which opened on 7 January 2026 and closes on 4 February 2026 at 5.00pm.

DEA Grant Aid Funding Clinics will:

  • Support groups to complete their Grant Aid application
  • Clarify eligibility, costs, and required documentation
  • Answer specific queries relating to the current call

Clinic appointments must be booked in advance by contacting your local Community Support Officer. Full details of dates, venues, and contact officers for each DEA are available below.
