Step Into The Wild
Go beyond the show cave and discover a hidden world beneath your feet on this exciting wild caving adventure at the Marble Arch Caves.
Led by experienced Cave Leader Sean Corrigan, you’ll explore sections of the cave system rarely seen by visitors, navigating winding passages, boulder chambers and the famous flyover route before emerging into the public tour area and venturing back through the cave’s wild chambers.
Perfect for anyone who has ever wondered what lies beyond the guided tour, this hands-on underground experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the true scale and beauty of one of Ireland’s most remarkable cave systems.
No previous caving experience is required, making this an ideal introduction to adventure caving. Small group sizes of just 10 participants ensure a personal and memorable experience.
All essential caving equipment, including helmets, headlamps, gloves and oversuits, will be provided. Participants should bring warm old clothes suitable for getting muddy, wellington boots, and a change of clothes for afterwards. The cave maintains a cool temperature of around 9°C year-round.
Please note that this experience involves walking, stooping and crawling, and participants should be comfortable undertaking approximately two hours of moderate physical activity.
