Update in relation to Council Services due to Storm Dave

3rd April 2026

Due to the Met Office weather warning for wind, which is in place from 2pm Saturday 4 April until 3am Sunday 5 April, in the interests of safety, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council advises the following:
 
Outdoor spaces & facilities, including Household Recycling Centres 
 
People are advised not to visit Council outdoor facilities during the period of the weather warning.
 
The following Fermanagh and Omagh District Council facilities and open spaces will be closed for public access during the period of the warning:
  
  • Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail
  • Gortin Glens Forest Park (including scenic drive)
  • Lough Navar Forest Drive
  • Household Recycling Centres (due to risk of flying debris)
  • Forthill Park
  • Henry Street Dog Park
  • Killyfole Walk
  • North Fermanagh Valley Park
  • Arleston Dog Park
  • St Julian’s Park
  • Pitches & MUGAs
 
There may be some delays in the reopening of these sites to enable safety inspections. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
 
Other Services
Some Household Recycling Centres will open at an earlier time on Saturday to mitigate the impact of the earlier closure times
