Update in relation to Council services due to Storm Bram

Due to the Amber and Yellow Met Office weather warnings for wind, in place from 9am Tuesday 09 December to 10pm Tuesday 09 December 2025, in the interests of safety, all Fermanagh and Omagh District Council outdoor facilities such as Play Parks, Sports Grounds, Cemeteries (except for burials), Open Spaces and Household Recycling Centres were closed to the public for the duration of the weather warning.

It will take time to inspect all sites and there may be a delay in the reopening some sites until safety inspections are complete. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Following Storm Bram, updates in relation to Council facilities are as follows:

  • Household Recycling Centres: all reopened as normal
  • Outdoor facilities at the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown; Castle Park Centre, Lisnaskea; Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen and Omagh Leisure Complex: reopened as normal
  • Grange Park, Omagh: reopened
  • Arleston Park, Omagh: reopened
  • Gortin Glen Forest Park: reopened (scenic drive remains closed)
  • St Julian’s Park, Omagh: reopened
  • Lough Navar Scenic Drive: reopened
  • Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail: reopened
  • Cemeteries: reopened
  • Play parks: reopened
  • Henry Street Dog Park: reopened
  • Killyfole Walk: reopened
  • North Fermanagh Valley Park: reopened
  • Forthill Park: reopened
