Thank You for Being the Change!
12th January 2026
Our #BeTheChange bauble campaign has come to a close, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who took part.
Every bauble was more than decoration – it was a powerful statement against violence towards women and girls. Together, we’ve shown that change starts with us.
Here’s a special bauble collage featuring some of the thousands of individuals, organisations, and businesses that joined this movement. Thank you for being part of the difficult conversation.
Cllr Barry McElduff, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, who launched the campaign, said:
“The #BeTheChange campaign has shown the power of collective action and the vital role of our statutory and voluntary sector partners.
Every single bauble has represented a commitment to ending violence against women and girls.
While this particular campaign has ended, the vital work continues – and we actively encourage groups throughout our Council district to apply for funding to help drive real, lasting change.”
Communities are invited to apply for funding to prevent and challenge the attitudes, behaviours, and culture that can lead to violence against women and girls. Funded projects will deliver real change for those who suffer harm and abuse across our society every day.
Applications for the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Local Change Fund 2026/27 are now open and will close on Wednesday 4 February 2026 at 5.00pm.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Violence against women must end, and we can all play a part.
