Roadworks notice – visitors to the Grange Council office, Omagh Leisure Complex & surrounding area

If you are visiting the Grange Council offices, Omagh Leisure Complex and surrounding area, please be aware that ​the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has advised the Council of ongoing lane, and some temporary road, closures up to August 2026 on the following routes:

– Gortin Road
– Mountjoy Road
– Old Mountfield Road
– Lisanelly Avenue
– Strathroy Road

DfI has advised the Council of the following temporary road closures to be implemented over the coming weeks:

Road closure B0048 Mountjoy Road: from Drumragh Avenue to Woodside Avenue
• From Friday 29 May (8.00pm) to Monday 1 June 2026 (6.00am)
• From Friday 5 June (8.00pm) to Monday 8 June 2026 (6.00am)
• From Friday 12 June (8.00pm) to Monday 15 June 2026 (6.00am)

These closures are required to facilitate works as part of the Gortin Road Scheme.

Vehicle access will be retained for Lisanelly Avenue residents and emergency (blue light) vehicles and the Translink ‘Gortin Road-Strathroy’ service will operate as normal.

DfI Roads advises drivers to expect delays in the area, particularly at peak times, and to allow extra travel time or use the signed alternative routes.
