Roadworks notice – visitors to the Grange Council office, Omagh Leisure Complex & surrounding area

If you are visiting the Grange Council offices, Omagh Leisure Complex and surrounding area, please be aware that ​the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has advised the Council of ongoing lane, and some temporary road, closures over the next 12 months (to August 2026) on the following routes:

– Gortin Road
– Mountjoy Road
– Old Mountfield Road
– Lisanelly Avenue
– Strathroy Road

DfI Roads has advised the Council of the following lane closures:

Lane closure B0048 Mountjoy Road: from Woodside Avenue to Drumragh Avenue from 23 January 2026 until 27 February 2026.

Lane closure C0625 Old Mountfield Road: from Arleston Road to Mountjoy Road from 30 January 2026 until 27 February 2026, 9.30am-4.30pm.

Overnight road closures B0048 Mountjoy Road: from Killybrack Road – Old Mountfield Road, 7.00pm-3am, for resurfacing and road upgrade works on the 22 and 23 January 2026.

DfI Roads advises drivers to expect delays in the area, especially during school term peak hours and to allow extra travel time or to use the signed alternative routes.

These works are being delivered by the Department for Infrastructure to support the development of the Strule Shared Education campus.
