Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Launches Seasonal Outdoor Music Programme

This weekend saw the return of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Seasonal Outdoor Music Programme bringing the sounds of summer to life with two local musicians showcasing their talents. Tiernan O’Rourke at The Round O, Enniskillen, and Paul McLaughlin at Grange Park, Omagh set the tone for a summer filled with outstanding music. With live music every Sunday throughout July and August, performances will take place from 1 pm to 3.30 pm for visitors to both locations to enjoy.
This exciting programme has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences and local musicians, singers, and bands, who are thrilled for the opportunity to perform and connect with people in an outdoor, family-friendly environment. The Seasonal Outdoor Music Programme aims to enhance the experience of residents and visitors alike by creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere in public green spaces and town centres.
Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council commented;

It certainly creates a welcoming atmosphere in our green spaces and town centres, enhancing the experience for residents and visitors alike. This programme also provides an excellent platform for our local musicians as well as opportunities to support and showcase local artistic talent. Other confirmed artists performing at the Round O, Enniskillen include; Afternoon Daydream, Irvine Memorial Pipe Band, Sing Together Irvinestown, Ballindarragh Accordian Band, Fermanagh Youth Choir and more.
And performing at the Bandstand Grange Park Omagh will be; Luke Bell, Tumbleweed, St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band, The Hand Me Downs, Brí Carr, Culmore Swing Combo, Foxtrot Uniform and more.

Looking ahead, the Council is also pleased to announce the return of the Live n’ Local Festive Street Music Programme in the lead-up to Christmas. Taking place at The Diamond in Enniskillen and Market Street in Omagh, performances will run on Saturdays: 29 November and 6, 13, and 20 December, also from 1 pm to 3.30 pm.
