Culture Night 2025: Celebrating Community, Creativity and Heritage Across the District

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is proud to sponsor a vibrant programme of events for Culture Night 2025, taking place on Friday, 19 September 2025.  This annual celebration invites residents and visitors to enjoy a diverse array of free cultural experiences throughout the District.

From traditional Irish music and dance, cultural tours, walks and talks to historical reenactments, Culture Night 2025 will showcase the richness of local talent and heritage, promoting community engagement and cultural pride.

Councillor Barry McElduff, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, said:

“I am thrilled to see such a diverse range of events spanning across our communities, from Omagh to Enniskillen, Carrickmore to Kinawley and Drumquin to Garrison.

Culture Night highlights our rich heritage, fully embracing in the process the multicultural fabric of our society today.

Highlights of Culture Night 2025 Include:
  • The Knocks Community Association present An evening of Song and Dance.
  • Trillick: Traditional Music Session in Corrigan’s with Trillick Comhaltas
  • Dún Uladh Cultural and Heritage CentreTraditional music session led by Francis Sheridan and Eamon Donnelly.
  • Mallard Community Charitable Hub: Join Mowgli and friends for an evening of adventure, fun and culture on an immersive arts trail inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s most famous work ‘The Jungle Book’ – Please note this event is booked out. 
  • Drumquin Historical SocietyRe-enactment of The Langfield Flower and Agricultural Show in Drumquin village centre.
  • Pobal ar a’n IúlArt competition for local primary school children exploring their townlands and pop up gaeltacht at Bogan’s.
  • Omagh Heritage ForumA Celebration of Omagh’s Literary Heritage
  • Omagh Pride PresentsShared Threads – Quilts, Memory and Resistance.
  • Newtownbutler CCÉBeocht an Traidisiúin – Bí Linn! (The Tradition Lives – Join Us).
  • Roslea ComhaltasTraditional Music Session at Derrygannon Hall
  • Kirlish Ulster Scots AssociationCelebrating 25 years of tradition through music, dance and poetry.
  • Belleek CCETraditional Irish music and dance at The Fiddlestone Pub, Belleek.
  • CCÉ Craobh Tearmainn Mhic OircPresent Comhaltas Culture through an evening of music and dance at Loughmacrory GAA Hall.
  • SPRAOI with sruth na hÉirneLaunching a new programme year for sruth na hÉirne’s youth club.

This exciting and inclusive programme promises to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds, celebrating the District’s rich cultural tapestry.
