Fermanagh and Omagh District Council wants to hear from community arts, cultural, heritage, sports and other groups across the district who are keen to take part in this year’s Culture Night celebrations by organising a local event.

Culture Night, which takes place this year on Friday 20 September 2019, is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. The focus will be on celebrating culture through local communities with groups having the opportunity to celebrate their townland, village, town or community’s culture. The event may take the form of a performance, demonstration, display of work, mini festival, exhibition, talent competition, open night or many other things.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will provide sponsorship support to at least 12 groups across the district of up to £250 per group, along with assistance with marketing and publicity.

The Council can also provide support in-kind in the form of a space for performance, exhibition or display of work at either Enniskillen Castle or the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh.

The closing date for sponsorship applications is 12pm on Thursday 4 July 2019. Guidelines and an online application form are available on the council website www.fermanaghomagh.com.

For further information or to find out more about in-kind support, please contact Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Arts and Heritage service by telephone on 0300 303 1777 (calls charged at local rate) or by email on culture@fermanaghomagh.com.
