Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to celebrate the success of local community groups at the recent Live Here Love Here Awards, recognising the outstanding efforts of volunteers who are making a positive impact in their communities.
A huge congratulations goes to Owenkillew Community Development Association, who achieved first place in the Regional Champions Award for the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.
The Council is also incredibly proud of Rouskey Community and Development Association, who were named runners-up in the same category, marking a significant achievement for the group and the wider community.
Both organisations have demonstrated exceptional dedication through their ongoing work to enhance and protect the local environment, while bringing people together and strengthening community spirit. Their commitment, passion and hard work continue to make a meaningful difference across the district.
Councillor Ruaídhrí Lyttle said:
“We are incredibly proud to see community groups from our District recognised at the Live Here Love Here Awards. The success of Owenkillew Community Development Association and Rouskey Community and Development Association reflects the passion, dedication and pride that volunteers have for their local areas. Their work not only helps protect and enhance our environment, but also strengthens the sense of community that makes our district such a special place to live.”
The Live Here Love Here programme is supported locally by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, which part-funds the initiative to help communities across the district improve and care for their local environment.
These awards highlight the important role community groups play in creating greener, cleaner and more vibrant places to live.
Everyone involved is warmly congratulated for their efforts, which are helping to build stronger communities and inspire others to take pride in where they live.
