Omagh Pride was founded in 2021 when we hosted our first Pride event. Following this success we are here to stay with our purpose being:
– To organise an annual Pride Parade in Omagh.
– To enhance the rights and wellbeing of of LGBTQ people in West Tyrone.
– To cultivate Queer cultural expression.
– To increase visibility and representation for Queer people in rural areas.
– To work in partnership with local statutory, community and voluntary organisations and agencies to promote inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ Community and to enhance access to services.
– To show solidarity with LGBTQIA+ struggles everywhere.
We are a group made of a small committee and many other volunteers who all come together to make our purpose happen.
