Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to launch several volunteer opportunities across a range of Council services and initiatives.

Volunteers already help to support many venues and services across the district and enable us to enhance the benefits we can offer to residents and visitors.

If you would like to learn new skills, gain valuable experience and meet new people, then why not register for one of the following roles:

· Gortin Glen Forest Park Volunteer

· Events Volunteer

· Meet and Greet at The Ardhowen

· Summer Scheme Assistant

· Litter Champion

Speaking about the new volunteer opportunities, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Barry McElduff said;

“Volunteers play a crucial role within our society and indeed within our Council. These opportunities provide an excellent chance for people to become involved in new areas, gain new skills and feel more connected and empowered.

Volunteering is also a way in which the Council can engage with its citizens to enable them to be involved in supporting, shaping and delivering services. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and residents value the involvement of volunteers in our work as they help support others, keep our district tidy and reflect the interests and needs of the communities we serve.

I encourage anyone who wishes to become involved with any of the opportunities to register your interest as soon as possible.”

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 1st July 2022, with opportunities open to people aged 16 and over.
