ICE Cards

Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) is encouraging residents to carry an ICE (In Case of Emergency) card.

Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson, said;

“ICE Cards are very important and contain all relevant details in the event that you become incapacitated. With many modern mobile phones locked, the ability to contact someone is much more difficult and consequently the ICE card, which holds details such as allergies and medical conditions together with an emergency contact number could quite literally be a lifesaver.

I would urge all residents to avail of the opportunity to obtain an ICE card and to carry it with them at all times.”

Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership, Councillor Keith Elliot said;

“Emergencies happen when you least expect them, but the ICE Card can speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself.  This enables the person coming to your aid to have more knowledge around any illnesses or allergies you may have, thus ensuring you get the correct medical help.  The card also provides contact details for the people you want contacted at the time of the emergency.”

ICE cards are available from the Connect Centre, Strule House, High Street, Omagh or the Connect Centre, County Buildings, Enniskillen or by contacting Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership at pcsp@fermanaghomagh.com.
