Fermanagh and Omagh District Council in partnership with Omagh Neighbourhood Policing Team and Fermanagh and Omagh Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) held a free Hate Crime Awareness event in West End Community Centre, Enniskillen on Monday 12 November 2018.

Hatred and discrimination impact significantly on individuals, families, learning environments, workspaces and communities.

The event highlighted the diversity and difference within the Fermanagh and Omagh District and aimed to challenge perceptions.

Representatives from a number of organisations such as Enniskillen Citizens Advice Bureau, Women’s Aid, the Department for Communities, Goodwill Gifts, Erne District Chinese Families and Friends Association, Leonard Cheshire, The Rainbow Project, and Migrant Centre NI were all in attendance, to highlight the support services they each provide locally and to answer questions from members of the public.
