Free Car Parking

Christmas will come early for shoppers in the Fermanagh and Omagh District with free car parking available on a number of dates in the run up to Christmas.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is offering free off-street car parking in Enniskillen and Omagh on Saturday 15 and 22, Sunday 16 and 23 and Monday 24 December 2018.

Launching the free festive parking, Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Howard Thornton, said:

“The business community in both towns approached the Council earlier this year to consider offering free car parking in Enniskillen and Omagh in the run up to Christmas. The Council is pleased to have worked with the businesses on this initiative to encourage more people to visit, shop and spend time in both towns this festive season.

The period running up to Christmas is one of the busiest in the shopping calendar. Enniskillen and Omagh offer an excellent shopping experience with their mix of unique independent traders and family businesses, high street names, along with plenty of places to relax, unwind and have something to eat or drink. We hope that people support our local shops during what is such an important time of year for them and I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year.”

Free off street car parking is available at Council operated pay and display car parks in Enniskillen and Omagh on 15, 16, 22, 23, and 24 December 2018.

People working in the town centres on these dates are encouraged to park in Hollyhill Link car park, Enniskillen and South West College and the Grange Park car parks in Omagh to ensure availability of car parking spaces for town centre shoppers.
