Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to illuminate Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on selected dates in April

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will illuminate Enniskillen Castle and the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on selected dates throughout the month of April in support of a number of charities and initiatives.

Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre will be lit up dark blue on Friday 2 April 2021,  at the request of the Cedar Foundation, to raise awareness about Autism and help reduce the stigma that goes hand in hand with a diagnosis of ASD. Both  will be lit up green on Thursday 22 April 2021 at the request of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to mark International Earth Day which is being celebrated this year from 20-22 April and places the focus on the continuing climate emergency.

Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre will be illuminated purple on Monday 26 April 2021 at the request of the Omagh and Fermanagh branch of the Chernobyl Children’s Appeal Northern Ireland to mark the 35th anniversary of the nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Northern Ukraine.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council illuminates buildings to recognise days of significance to groups within the wider community. The Council also illuminates buildings in support of a particular campaign or charity.
