An Enniskillen Public Realm ‘Open Day’ will take place on Wednesday 22 January 2020 from 11am – 7pm at Fermanagh House, Enniskillen.

The £5.2 million Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme, funded by the Department for Communities and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, will enhance the appearance of the town centre with improvements to footpaths, street lighting, landscaping and street furniture.

The ‘Open Day’, hosted by FP McCann who is the main contractor for the Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme, will provide people with an opportunity to meet the Public Realm team and find out more about the roll out of the project, with works due to start in February.

There will also be a rolling presentation along with displays of proposed layout drawings.

The design of the Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme was finalised following consultation with members of the public, local businesses and other interested parties and the Project Steering Group. The Project Steering Group is chaired by Cllr Paul Blake and includes Councillors from Enniskillen District Electoral Area (DEA) and representatives from the local business community.

The Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme spans Darling, Wesley, Church, High, Townhall, Eden, Water, Market, Middleton, East Bridge and Belmore streets as well as The Diamond, East Bridge Place, Paget Square and Regal Pass.

Works are anticipated to be complete by November 2021 and will be undertaken on a phased basis.
