Council unveils programme of events to Celebrate Culture Night 2018

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has organised an exciting  programme of activities to celebrate Culture Night which returns to venues across the district on Friday 21 September 2018.

Culture Night is a UK and Ireland celebration of culture, heritage, creativity and the arts and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to be taking part once again in this excellent initiative. From early afternoon to late evening, locals and visitors can enjoy a day of free entertainment, discovery and adventure.

Culture Night provides  arts and cultural organisations across the district with the opportunity to open their doors to the public to celebrate and showcase the diversity of the creative community.   With special or extended night time events, all offered free of charge, this year’s programme has something to offer everyone with everything from song and dance to arts, crafts and language being catered for.

 Fermanagh and Omagh District Council undertook an open application process inviting groups, organisations and individuals to participate in this year’s Culture Night celebrations with the objective of focusing on rural communities the proactive involvement of local organisations for and in their own communities.

 Events are taking place at the following locations across the district:

  • An Creágan – Creggan,
  • Dun Uládh – Omagh,
  • Tús Nua Fhear Manach – Donagh,
  • Sliabh Beagh Arts – Coranny, Rosslea
  • Fermanagh Film Club – Pats Bar Enniskillen,
  • Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre – Castle basin event space – Enniskillen,
  • Omagh Ukulele Orchestra – Annie’s Bar, Omagh,
  • Trillick Arts & Culture Society- Devenish Island.
  • Strule Arts Centre,
  • Enniskillen Castle & Museum
  • Omagh Community House.
