Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Chairman, Councillor Chris Smyth, has welcomed the launch of the government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme which gives diners a 50% discount on their bill at participating sit in eateries.

The scheme, which launched on Monday 3 August 2020 and runs throughout the month of August, is available at participating restaurants, cafes and pubs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and offers a 50% discount – up to a maximum of £10 discount per customer – on their meal and non-alcoholic drinks. More than 100 venues in towns and villages across the district are participating in the initiative.

Welcoming the start of the scheme in Fermanagh and Omagh, the Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Smyth, said:

“We have a fantastic hospitality offering in the Fermanagh and Omagh District. The ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme provides a great opportunity for people to enjoy a meal at a discounted rate while supporting the local economy and jobs following what has been a difficult number of months.”

Customers may avail of the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme as many times as they wish during August.
