Council announces programme of events for Global Enterprise Week

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has launched a programme of free events for Global Enterprise Week 2023 which takes place from 13 to 19 November 2023.

Global Enterprise Week is an opportunity to celebrate, inspire, empower and encourage entrepreneurs.

The events, which are a mix of in-person and online, will provide businesses with valuable information and insights to help them to thrive and grow.

On Monday 13 November 2023 at 11.00 am, Roisin McAliskey, Development Manager with the Federation of Small Businesses, will deliver an online webinar which will showcase the support services they have to offer small to medium sized businesses to help their business to thrive.

Tourism related businesses in the District are invited to explore the potential to develop Sustainable Tourism Networks in Fermanagh and Omagh, which has been identified as a priority in the Visitor Experience Development Plan.  This in person event, which will take place on Monday 13 November 2023 at 1.00 pm in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, will include success stories from other networks including Taste Causeway, the Burren and Kinsale and how the Networks can benefit tourism businesses.

Join Niall McCaffrey from Social Enterprise Northern Ireland, on Tuesday 14 November 2023 at 12 noon to find out how data technologies could assist social enterprises including how to reach wider audiences and deliver innovative services.

Carly Warke, a Meta Ads Specialist from Digital Performance Lab, will deliver an online webinar on Wednesday 15 November 2023 at 12 noon providing practical guidance on how Meta Ads on Facebook can help to reach new markets and tailor campaigns to target audiences, drive website traffic and ultimately improve online sales.

On Thursday 16 November 2023, join Sales and Trading Industry Specialists, Andy MacLachlan and Mervyn Jones, for an in-person workshop for food and drink providers in the Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm.  The two experienced industry professionals will share their expertise on how to market and sell food and drink products effectively.

The concluding event of the week, which will take place on Friday 17 November 2023 at 12 noon, will focus on preparing for Black Friday and other sales events.  It will highlight tips and techniques to ensure digital adverts are effective with the right content being delivered to the right target audience ensuring it stands out from other advertisements.
