The 13th annual 1FTSQ small works art exhibition organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, will open virtually for the first time on Friday 4 December 2020 at 7.00pm.

The exhibition has grown in stature and popularity over the years and annually attracts artists of all genres and creative backgrounds, both local and from further afield.

An open call was issued to the Arts Community in October and there was an excellent response with 39 artists exhibiting 117 works of art in a variety of mediums, including photography, porcelain, ceramics, oil, acrylic, pencil, mixed media, prints.

Strule Arts Centre is proud to host this eclectic selection of works from new, emerging and established artists both amateur and professional art from all over UK, Ireland and beyond including this year, artists from Brazil & Italy.

This year, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented many challenges and organising the 1FTSQ exhibition was no exception. However, difficult problems can deliver innovative solutions and the ability to view the exhibition from the comfort of your own home, courtesy of Strule Arts Book Facebook page is a novel way of ensuring that as many people as possible can view the exhibition.

Once again, this year, two external adjudicators have been invited to select three prizewinning artists and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is extremely grateful to Noelle McAlinden & Geraldine O’Reilly from Fermanagh and Omagh Arts Forum for undertaking this difficult task.

First prize is a two-week Artists Residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in County Monaghan, second prize is a solo exhibition in Strule Arts Centre in 2021/22 and third prize is £150 towards art materials

The prize winners will be announced via Strule Arts Centre face book page at the launch on Friday 4 December at 7pm.

The 1FTSQ exhibition will run online on Strule Arts Centre face book page from Friday 4th Dec 2020 until Saturday 9th January 2021.  All artwork is for sale and can be purchased directly from the artist.
