DisAbility Awareness Week 2022
The Council has organised a programme of events and workshops from Saturday 3 December to Friday 9 December to celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities. The programme has been created in partnership with Derry City and Strabane District Council and is funded by the Public Health Agency.
International Day of People with Disabilities is marked across the world every year on 3 December. In celebration of this, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is working in partnership with Derry City and Strabane District Council to deliver a week-long programme of activities running from Saturday 3 December to Friday 9 December.
The programme which has been funded by the Public Health Agency, has attracted the support of a wide range of partner organisations including the National Trust, Guide Dogs NI, Headway – the Brain Injury Association, Mencap, Mae Murray Foundation, RNID, Disability Action, Shopmobility Enniskillen & Omagh, WHSCT, CYPSP and Angel Eyes NI.
Throughout the week and further into December, there will be a range of information sessions, training events, talks and engaging craft workshops.
